About Us
Built in 1934, Camp Rosalie has endured, but hasn’t changed all that much.
Camp Rosalie isn’t just a destination — it’s a return to something nostalgic, something spiritual. Tucked beneath the whispering pines in the wilderness of Colorado, this historic sleepaway camp has welcomed generations of wide-eyed kids, crackling campfires, belly laughs, and outdoor adventures.
Camp Rosalie was founded by Washington Park United Methodist Church in 1934, then owned by Crossroads Church of Denver from 2001-2023. From it’s inception Camp Rosalie has been a place to connect with God, nature and each other. The camp is now privately owned and operated as a non-profit organization. Restoration is still in process, but the facility is up and running again and ready for new memories.
Today we primarily serve churches, schools, scouts, and other groups as a rental facility for events hosting between 20 and 100 people. We do not provide camp programming, therefore it’s unique opportunity for your group to bring your own.
With its original 1930s cabins, vintage details, and timeless mountain charm, Camp Rosalie feels like stepping into a beloved childhood memory — even if it’s your first visit. Reimagined for today’s guests, it now serves as a one-of-a-kind rental experience: the full camp is available to youth groups and kids’ organizations seeking an unplugged, unforgettable retreat. Beginning in 2025, we will also be renting the former staff cabins, including Cook, Nurse, and Caretaker. These individual cabins can be privately rented during select open time frames for couples and families craving nature, nostalgia, and looking for a wilderness experience in a social, camp environment.
