The Charter of Rustic Reality

Camp Rosalie's Charter of Rustic Reality

Welcome to Camp Rosalie, where nostalgia meets nature and rustic means you want to have the correct expectations.

Founded in 1934, our charming little slice of Colorado is a time capsule that promises to take you back to simpler days—when amenities were scarce, and adventure was plentiful.

Prepare yourself for an experience that’s somewhere between “roughing it” and “glamping,” and let’s set some expectations (or lower them, shall we?).

The Great Outdoors: The Outhouse experience

Why settle for a boring indoor toilet when you can embrace the great outdoors? Our outhouse pit toilets provide a real outdoor experience. Think of it as camping’s version of a luxury spa—if your idea of luxury is a little fresh air and a flashlight lit stroll. Remember, it’s not just a toilet; it’s an experience!

Showers: A Splash of Reality

Running water? You bet! But don’t expect a five-star shower experience. Bring your best shower songs and enjoy the ambiance of water that will take you back in time to your old camp experiences.

Bunkhouse & Cabin Bliss: Vintage Vibes Only

Our bunkhouses and small cabins are the epitome of vintage charm. Expect creaky floorboards, basic bedding or your own in the bunkhouses, charmingly mismatched furniture, and a decor style that screams, “I hope you like wood!”

Kitchen Capers: Cooking in the Wild

Our camp is equipped for basic cooking in a shared kitchen, which means you’ll have the joy of bringing and  preparing meals with the same enthusiasm you had at summer camp, but on your timetable. If you’ve ever wanted to test your culinary skills over an open flame (or a slightly dodgy stovetop), you’re in for a treat! Just remember: a little char adds that rustic flavor we all crave. We also have an air fryer, slow cooker, electric griddle and hot pot, but be prepared to share kitchen appliances.

Embrace the Elements: Weather or Not

Mother Nature is the ultimate camp hostess, and she has a quirky sense of humor. Come prepared for anything—a sunny day, a sudden downpour, or an unexpected snow flurry (yes, even in July). Our motto: “If you don’t get wet and dirty, you’re not really camping!”

 Wi-Fi? What Wi-Fi?

Here at Camp Rosalie, we believe in disconnecting from the digital world. So, put down your devices and embrace the art of conversation (or yelling across the campfire). Who knows? You might even make a friend or two

In Conclusion:

At Camp Rosalie, we want you to have a wonderful time, so we want you to know what it’s like to be a camper here before you book. Remember, you’re not just booking a stay; you’re signing up for an adventure that will hopefully allow you to disconnect and recharge.  So grab your sense of humor and prepare to create memories that will last a lifetime. Welcome to the camp where the charm is vintage, the amenities are rustic, and the fun is guaranteed!
